Dr. Djork-Arné Clevert is the VP of Machine Learning Research at Bayer, Berlin. He leads a team of ten scientists all with a strong background in machine-learning, cheminformatics and computational biology. The named groups contribute to drug discovery projects at all stages by developing and applying state-of-the art computational techniques. The group has strong expertise and knowledge base in various areas like machine-learning and analysis of large datasets by chemo- and bioinformatics techniques. Dr. Clevert’s team will supervise DCs while they the adaptation and application of their methods on in-house data sets and will introduce the DCs to preclinical pharmaceutical research by enabling interactions with scientists from other disciplines like screening, pharmacology, and medicinal chemistry to provide further insights into the working environment in industrial early drug discovery.
