Hyun Kil Shin is an Assistant Professor at UST and a Senior Researcher at KIT. He obtained his Ph.D from Yonsei University, Seoul in the Biotechnology department. His background is in cheminformatics and his main research area is development and deployment of advanced machine learning model for toxicity prediction. He was awarded the Minister's commendation from MSIT in recognition of his contributions to the development of ToxSTAR, ToxBBB, and NanoToxRadar. Through active research engagement in AIDD, he has developed online courses for AIDD with KPBMA (Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association) and has been serving as a committee member of AiFrenz society (AI community in South Korea).
