Dr. Faizan Sahigara completed his Masters in Bioinformatics at King’s College London in 2010 and defended his PhD thesis in QSAR Modelling from University of Milano Bicocca in 2013 within the Environmental Chemoinformatics Initial Training Network (ECO-ITN). Since then, Faizan has pursued his professional career providing a) in silico consulting, notably for REACH and Cosmetics regulations and b) training companies interested in applying QSARs for their R&D and regulatory needs. Currently, Faizan works as Business Development Manager and in silico (QSAR) modelling expert at CEHTRA, a leading consulting group based in France where he works with a team of 60+ regulatory experts in Human Health, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Risk Assessment across 10 different business sectors. He is also leading Simply Predict, a CEHTRA service launched in 2023 to promote and apply reliable in silico New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), notably Read-across and QSARs to replace animal testing and integrate these in silico NAMs into Next Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA).
